From an idea to a brand - the journey of JUST A BEAN
When Lee Laubscher returned from a nearly two-month trip through Southeast Asia, he asked his father Michel Laubscher a simple but intriguing question: “Why don't we build a specialty coffee label?”
Michel, who has always been a big coffee lover, realized the enormous potential of the idea at that moment - especially when he learned that Vietnam, the country Lee had traveled to, is home to an impressive coffee culture as the second largest coffee exporter in the world. Lee's passion and curiosity opened Michel's eyes: coffee is much more than just a drink; it is an experience that brings people together.
This is how the JUST A BEAN project was born in August - a project of the heart, born from the shared passion of a father and son team.
Each roasted bean tells its own story. State-of-the-art technology is used to bring the unique spirit directly into the cup - always accompanied by the best possible transparency: every roast is registered on the blockchain so that the path of the raw bean through to consumption can be traced at all times.
A particular highlight of the project is the unique packaging concept: each package is given its own unique digital art. By purchasing a package, the customer collects points, and after reaching a certain number, they receive a specially matching digital art image for their purchased coffee - stored as an NFT on the blockchain as well as physically available as a limited collection.
